Big Bear

If you need a large feeder for multiple animals, the Big Bear is your obvious choice! This feeder offers you many options to cover your exact needs. The model can be equipped with a range of optional features, allowing you to configure the feeder exactly to your needs. It is suitable for feeding round bales, big bales, and mini big bales, making it a flexible solution for everyday use.

Standard Equipment
There is standard equipment – and then there is JYFA standard equipment! With a JYFA animal feeder, you get a product that radiates quality right from the start! This model comes standard with:

• Fully galvanized
• Church chairs along all sides
• Galvanized floor
• Bottom sledge

Up to 18 feeding stations – Optional trap gates
The model comes as standard with 4 church chairs at each end, and 5 church chairs at each long side. This gives you a large feeder with room for as many as 18 feeding stations.

If you need to trap your cattle, this model can be equipped with trap gate of: 1×4 or 1×5-animals on both long sides, as well as 1×3-animals trap gates at both ends as needed. For dairy cattle, we recommend 1×5-animals trap gates, and if needed, you have the option of 1×3-animals trap gates on one – or both ends. For beef cattle, we recommend 1×4-animals trap gates. The trap gates come as standard with an adjustable bar at each neck opening.

If your herd consists of, for example, Scottish Highland cattle, you should choose our special trap gate. The Big Bear can be equipped with one 1×3-animal Special trap gates on each long side. The special trap gates has a height of 100 cm and a neck opening of 75 cm, and it comes standard with an adjustable bar.

Roof & roof structure
The Big Bear comes wiht a pointet roof as standard, but if you need to use it for eg. Scottish Highland cattle, it is an advantage to order it with a high roof.  Always make sure to advise us when ordering your feeder, if you need a high roof.

Fodder refill options – Choose the best solution for you
You have a number of options for refilling the feeder, depending of what equipment the model has:

From the Top
Refill the feeder from the top. If your model has a pointed roof, you can flip the roof to one side before refill.

Trap gates
When ordering our standard trap gate, it comes as standard with a gate to open in one side.

Church Chairs
If you want church chairs on all sides, we recommend you to order one side with a church chair gate, or simply one large gate at the rear end.
